PLANTCRAFT: THE MAGICAL WORLD OF TRAITS
Plantcraft trailer made by Jude Gravois!
"Plantcraft: The Magical World of Traits” is a tower defense educational game where kids can learn about plants and their defensive and adaptive traits. This game was made in Unity game engine for the Wesleyan University course taught by professor Christopher Weaver, IDEAS 350: Computational Media Video Game Development. I worked in a team of four others,Jude Gravois (producer, game designer, sound effects), Willow Frohardt (fellow artist and animator), Luca Guerrera (coder, music) and Noah Hartzfeld (coder and voice acting.) For the art team, Willow focused on the plants, plant animations and plant combos, and I focused on the insect enemies and backgrounds, and UI elements. I learned a lot from this project, it being my first exposure with programs like Unity, project tracking software Jira, and management structures like Scrum. All art, the unique font I developed for the game, and animations were made in Procreate.
